First, understand the underlying logic: The size of the bubbles is determined by the amount of masterbatch feeding

Many people encounter bubble fluctuations and blindly check equipment issues everywhere. In fact, if you first understand the underlying logic, the problem will be easily solved. The bubble density of EPE foam is directly determined by the feeding amount of masterbatch (the core of which is talcum powder):

When the talcum powder is fed sufficiently and evenly, the bubbles are fine and stable;

· When the talcum powder feeding is insufficient, or even interrupted for tens of seconds, the product in the interrupted section lacks talcum powder supplementation, causing the bubbles to become abnormally large;

· After a blockage, talcum powder suddenly feeds in large quantities, resulting in overly dense bubbles in the corresponding product section, ultimately leading to the problem we observe of "bubbles varying greatly in size with significant errors".

Understanding the logic, we directly identify the root causes. The core issue of uneven bubble sizes lies entirely in the masterbatch machine; focus on inspecting these two points:

1. Blockage in the masterbatch machine's conveying screw, causing intermittent feeding

· This is the most common core problem. Jamming in the masterbatch machine's conveying screw directly leads to poor talcum powder feeding, resulting in the "sometimes feeding, sometimes not" situation.

· When the screw is blocked, talcum powder cannot fall continuously and evenly, causing feeding interruptions ranging from a few seconds to tens of seconds. The corresponding product section produced will have abnormally large bubbles; when the blockage is cleared by the powder flow, talcum powder will suddenly fall in large quantities, making the bubbles in that product section extremely fine, ultimately resulting in the obvious alternating problem of large and small bubbles.

2. Inconsistent inverter parameters / unstable operation, causing uneven feeding speed

· In addition to physical blockages, the second core issue is the inverter. If the inverter parameters are disorderly or improperly set, it will directly cause the screw speed to fluctuate, leading to varying  feeding amounts, which ultimately results in continuous fluctuations in bubble density in the finished product.

· Here, it is important to remind everyone of a pitfall many manufacturers have encountered: using pure talcum powder throughout the production process.

· Many people directly use pure talcum powder for feeding during production, but if the talcum powder itself has high density and no raw materials are added for mixing and dilution, the inverter parameters have to be adjusted to extremely low levels, even below 1 or in the decimal range, to control the feeding amount.

· Setting the inverter parameters too low directly causes excessive motor load, resulting in "intermittent rotation and stopping" jamming. This not only fails to ensure uniform feeding but also further increases the probability of screw blockage, forming a vicious cycle of pure talcum powder → inverter set too low → motor jamming → uneven feeding → bubble fluctuations. This is the key reason why many people cannot solve the problem despite repeated machine adjustments.

Be sure to mix an appropriate amount of raw materials into the talcum powder for dilution to reduce the overall density of the powder.After dilution, the inverter parameters can be adjusted to a reasonable range of around 2-3, allowing the motor to run stably and at a constant speed.
